Charlotte Brosnan, originally from Hertfordshire is a soprano based in London. She graduated with an honours degree in music from Nottingham University in 2008. Whilst there she held a scholarship at Nottingham Cathedral and won the annual honour of being a soloist with the professionally conducted orchestra.
In 2010 Charlotte moved to Rome to study with Francesca Romano, Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia and with David Holst. Whilst there she also mastered the Italian language and achieved the internationally recognized diploma ‘Certificato di conoscenza della lingua Italiana’ from the University of Perugia. In Italy she gained a lot of performing experience as with the octet, ‘Coro degli Apocrifi,’ and as a soloist with the ‘Nuovo Coro Lirico Sinfonico Romano’ and ‘The New Chamber Singers.’
Charlotte is currently studying with Deborah Hawksley and regularly sings with Laudibus, a professional chamber choir associated to the National Youth Choir, Cantate chamber choir and deputizes for many other choirs. She has been a soloist in many of the World’s prestigious concert venues including The Albert Hall, St Paul’s Cathedral, St Marks (Venice), Disney Hall (LA) and even sung at the 2006 FA Cup final at the millennium stadium. In 2010 Charlotte recorded the Grammy Award winning Album, ‘Light and Gold,’ with the world renowned Eric Whitacre.
She also enjoys working as a section leader with The National Youth Choirs of Great Britain.
